Sony Ericsson K850i – black (unlocked) Review
Sony Ericsson excels at a lot of things, but cell phone design isn’t always the company’s strong point. It’s not that its phone are ugly (most of the time they’re quite pretty), but their controls tend be too stylish for their own good. The K850i has the same problem; it’s stylish and sharp, but we found its navigation array and camera controls not so easy to use. But before we get there, let’s address the good stuff first. Like most Sony Ericsson handsets, the K850i has a standard candy bar design. With its sleek black hue and green highlights, it’s eye-catching without being ostentatious. At 4 inches by 1.9 inches by 0.7 inch, it has an average size though it’s a bit weighty at 4.2 ounces. Sony Ericsson always does a good job with its displays, and the K850i is no exception. The 2.25-inch (320×240 pixels) screen supports a bright 262144 colors. It shows everything well, from graphics to photos and text, and the menus are simple and easy to use. You can adjust the clock size and the brightness, but no other options are customizable.

the phone is great….but the camera is sucks!!! the foto’s are 1.3 mp in my opinion not 5 mp…the upgrade driver’s 4 the camera exists???….
i cant decide wich one to buy; LG viewty or sony ericsson k850i?
im having a samsung e900 now and its gettin old, im already kinda used to touch screens cause i have an ipod-touch

the k850i is notorious for firmware instability problems… would advise Avoid… shame really as it could have been a great phone
i have one i also had those firmware problems , but it really aint a reason to avoid id , just finetune the firmware ( if you are known with computers ) mine runs smooth even when i open the menu’s

its resolution is 5 mp…the quality doesnt decide its resolution
This phone is awful,
I got the latest firmware, but it terrible!!
Photos are no good and the most of them are too dark even using flash.
Always crashes and too slow when using media player.
Battery drains out very quickly and cell signal is very low some times for no reason!!
Stay away from this phone!!!
I’ve had this phone for a little under a year…
it’s a good phone – definitly feature packed
One of the things that WASN’T POINTED OUT … when you are taking pictures there is about a 4 second delay which is VERY IRRITATING!!
As you start using the phone.. the navigation gets slower and slower… now when i hit menu i have to wait a bit…
Battery life is CRAP!!!!!!
I love this phone… it does have a lot of problems but I DO NOT REGRET BUYING IT!!

This is the WORST phone I have ever owned!!!! I got it and had problems the first time I opened the box. It kept locking up on me and the wouldnt turn off so I’d have to take the battery out. With that, the screen died on me and was just lines. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PHONE!!!
mobile phone is great….i love it….look in my chanel what i done of it….new cam driver with 7.1 mpx…sound driver that have bass like w980…flash wallpapers and thems…and also noone issuse comes…

@banjorogers: I totally agree wif u dude, that phone is totally SUCKS. If u used to keep your phone inside your pocket, the touch screen can easily damaged, that’s what happened to me. But it’s sound is good though, similar to Walkman series.

When I bought this phone I was inlove w it
Liked the shape, the camara and the design of the backgrounds
Then I started to get problems w it
The sound went off completly, like I couldn’t listen to anything. Call sonny Ericsson store n they said I have to call the manufactory center and have em fix it… Sucks bc I paid a lot for this phone..
One thing i hate about this phone: Touch button!
I have this phone for 4 years already, I had to fix it 3 times but it still works and I am not planning to change it until it completely breaks, it’s simply great
And yes, touch buttons never stopped working, but numbers 2, 3, 7 and 8 were malfunctioning xD

my phone is dead i cant start it up the worst thing is that i realy loved it i have been searching a little bit it looks like many people had this problem i had and ive been thinking about geting a new sony ericsson k850i again but now i dont know if that is such an great idea
